The Council of Atlantic University Libraries – Conseil des bibliothèques universitaires de l’Atlantique is a collaborative partnership of 17 post-secondary libraries in Atlantic Canada. CAUL/CBUA strives to support library staff and students through shared services, increased access, and open communication. The Council promotes innovative projects and professional development as a means of strengthening and mutually benefiting its members.

Situated in Moncton, New Brunswick, the University of Moncton is the largest Acadian university. The Champlain Library, the campus Technology Services and the Law Library have generously contributed a large part of the audio-visual equipment for the conference.

Since 1983, the Fondation des caisses populaires acadiennes has been committed to supporting New Brunswick’s education sector, through scholarships or educational projects. Throughout the years, the Fondation has paid out scholarships to more than 2,200 students thanks to a scholarship fund of over $1.7 million, funded by the various constituents of the Mouvement des Caisses populaires acadiennes. The Fondation also supports the Lire, découvrir et grandir literacy program, which is intended to help children from preschool up to second grade to reach an acceptable reading level by the end of their second year of schooling.

The Department of Communities, Culture and and Heritage, via the Nova Scotia Provincial Library, supports public libraries through grants and a variety of services and programs. The Provincial Library leads and supports Nova Scotia’s public libraries, ensuring they remain vibrant and deliver innovative and sustainable services for Nova Scotians. This includes providing centralized services for libraries, facilitating resource sharing and collaboration, and acting as a liaison between library leaders and the province of Nova Scotia.
